Inde Navarrette is fast becoming one of horror's most reliable leads — and her next role hangs her literally hundreds of feet in the air. The "Obsession" and "Superman & Lois" actress will headline "Invertigo," a rollercoaster-set survival thriller now in production from the producers of "Fall."

The premise is a nightmare built for a final girl. A group of reckless teens convince a young park worker to sneak them onto a brand-new coaster before its opening day. A system failure strands them high above the park, and the fight to get down forces buried traumas and long-hidden tensions to erupt among them.

It's the kind of role — physical, emotional, survival-driven — that has increasingly gone to women fronting genre films, and Navarrette has been quietly building exactly that résumé. "Invertigo" marks her third collaboration with Capstone Pictures after "Obsession," a trajectory turning her into a go-to face for elevated horror-thrillers.

Behind the camera, Matthias Hoene ("Cockneys vs Zombies") directs from a screenplay by Kathy Charles and Billy O'Brien. Tea Shop's James Harris and Mark Lane — the "Fall" team that already proved it can wring terror from a single high-up location — produce with Capstone's Christian Mercuri.

Filming is underway across Thailand, the U.S. and the U.K., with worldwide sales launched at the European Film Market. No release date is set yet — but a woman-led survival story stranded at the top of a broken thrill ride is already one to watch.
